Sam Buti, Podcast Producer

As podcast producer, he’s had the pleasure to work on a number of shows: some largesome small, a couple in the business category, one true crime show, a few launches, an award winning radio production, and one IP sold as exclusive content to Audible. However, it didn’t start this way.

Audible

At a wine bar in upstate NY, I met a writer with a manuscript that he couldn’t get published. “It’s the best thing I’ve ever written,” he said. Thumbing through his words, I could tell — It was good. Plus, he’d already published 3 successful novels and he couldn’t get his fourth printed?! Something wasn’t adding up. “But my agent,” he added, “doesn’t like it.” A few glasses of courage later, we decided to take matters into our own hands. I recorded, voiced, edited, sound designed, and distributed the once-unsellable novel as a serialized fiction podcast. We built a small audience. With a proof of concept, we took the show and sold it as exclusive content to Audible.

Sam Buti Today

In addition to podcasting, Sam now serves as a Guest Artist in the Creative Arts Department at Siena College in Upstate New York. When not listening to audio, Sam spends time with his wife, his two tiny dogs, reading, running, or engaging in all types of exercise. Most of all, Sam helps creators develop their sound, position their story, and continue to broadcast their message.
